Grant Update: New Tool Shed

As soon as we received our grant for the shed, Hector and I contacted four builders to come out and give quotes.

Only two responded and met with us. Colleen requested a 10 x 20 shed with two double doors, a way to lock the doors plus a ramp.

We hired the owner of South River Structures. Andy had a brand new shed just delivered in our size so we wouldn’t have to wait and was able to start work almost immediately. He smoothed out the ground and delivered gravel on Monday. The shed was delivered Wednesday with a custom ramp paid for by an anonymous donor.

Thank you to the WHC, which supports healthy communities in Marion and Polk Counties. They awarded us with the $10,000 grant that made this possible.
